Role:- Project Officer SLWM
Job Description: –
• Plan, facilitate, and conduct community-level meetings with women, men, Mohalla Committee members, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Gram Panchayat representatives.
• Design, organize, and implement Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) awareness campaigns through IEC materials, rallies, cleanliness drives, hygiene promotion sessions, and other community engagement activities.
• Develop and execute mass awareness programs to promote source segregation, waste reduction, recycling, sanitation, and environmental sustainability.
• Mobilize communities for active participation in SLWM initiatives and encourage behavior change practices.
• Form and strengthen residential committees, Mohalla Committees, and community groups, and maintain records in the prescribed formats.
• Supervise, guide, and monitor supervisors, waste pickers, sanitation workers, and other field staff to ensure effective service delivery.
• Ensure timely and efficient door-to-door waste collection as per approved routes and schedules, and undertake necessary follow-up actions to address operational issues.
• Train, mentor, and motivate waste pickers, supervisors, and community volunteers on waste management practices, occupational safety, and service quality.
• Coordinate with Gram Panchayats, local institutions, schools, and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of project activities.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and attendance records, meeting minutes, and monitoring data as per organizational requirements.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress, identify challenges, and recommend corrective measures.
• Support the implementation of capacity-building programs, workshops, exposure visits, and special campaigns under the project.
• Assist in data collection, surveys, baseline assessments, and impact monitoring activities.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager from time to time.
Experience:- Experience of 1-2 Years in Development Sector/ Corporate Sector on the areas of WASH, Waste Management, School Education, Skill Development, Training and Capacity Building
Qualification:- Post-Graduation in Social work, Social sciences & rural development or any other equivalent degre
Skills Required:-
Should have working knowledge of MS Office, Google Sheets & Forms, and other Tools required to generate reports/case studies,etc.
Basic knowledge of sanitation and waste management. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Marathi. Strong presentation skills. Basic knowledge of sanitation and waste management. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Marathi.
Location:- Ranjangaon, Pune, Maharashtra
Remuneration:- Between 2.30 to 2.55 Lakh per Annum.
