  • Role:-  Project Manager- School WASH & Solid waste management
  • Qualification:-  Any Graduate/ Post Graduation (BSW/MSW, B.Tech (Civil), B.Sc/M.Sc (Environment Science))
  • Job Description: –The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects in schools, alongside a Solid Waste Management (SWM) program in urban and rural areas. This includes ensuring that all activities meet quality standards, promoting hygiene awareness, and creating sustainable waste management systems in educational institutions/ villages/wards.
  • Location: – Vijayawada Region, Andhra Pradesh
  • Experience:-  5-7 Years in Development Sector/ Corporate Sector on the areas of WASH, Waste Management, School Education, Skill Development, Training and Capacity Building
  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Implementation
    o Develop detailed work plans for WASH and SWM activities in schools/ villages/wards.
    o Ensure all programs are executed according to established timelines and budgets.
    o Build and develop interactive specific IEC and BCC content for various stakeholders.
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation
    o Monitor project progress and prepare timely reports for donors.
    o Conduct regular evaluations to assess the impact of the WASH and SWM projects.
    o Participating in the quarterly audits by PME partner.
    o Monthly meetings with donor.
    o Planning activities and preparing fortnight, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement
    o Coordinate with school administrators, local governments (Zilla Parishad, District, Block, MPDOs, sarpanch), and community groups.
    o Plan, coordinate and conduct trainings with Key stakeholders on safe sanitation technology, ODF++, 0DF Sustainability, Solid and Liquid Waste Management.
  4. Compliance and Reporting
    o Maintain documentation and reports to demonstrate compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.
    o Documentation of case studies/ success stories.
    o Progress reporting (Behavior Change Communication, Infrastructure and Operations & Maintenance)
    o Maintaining MIS Trackers
  5. Team Leadership
    o Manage a team of field staff and volunteers.
    o Provide technical guidance and support to ensure effective project delivery
  • Skills Required:-  Documentation, Presentation, well versed with Microsoft Office tools
